Community Governance Review – Burnham Market

NOTICE OF REVIEW

In accordance with the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk is undertaking a Community Governance Review of the civil parish of Burnham Market.

The review seeks determine if the maximum number of parish councillors for Burnham Market Parish Council should be reduced from 11 to 8.

The Borough Council is conducting a consultation for the review process and is inviting local electors and any other party or body which appears to the Borough Council to have an interest in the review to submit their views.

The council has published its Terms of Reference for the Review and a copy can be viewed and downloaded from the Borough Council’s website www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/burnhammarketcgr or obtained by contacting the Electoral Services team as shown below.

The dates for submissions for the consultation are from 10 March 2025 to 20 April 2025.
The Borough Council will consider and publish consultation submissions in due course. Final recommendations will be considered by Full Council at its meeting on 29 July 2025.
