Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO9093) affecting the  A) A149 Wells Road from 100m east of its junction with Glebe Lane to its junction with Model Farm Road (“Road A”) and B)  A149 Main Road from 400m west of its junction with Park Road to its junction with Model Farm Road (“Road B”) in the  Parishes of Burnham Overy & Holkham to facilitate carriageway resurfacing work, the Roads A and B will be  temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be Road A) between 07:00 and 16:00 from 10th to 12th February 2025 and Road B) between 07:00 and 16:00 from 13th to 14th February 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 23rd March 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

 

 

Alternative route is via: A) A149 Wells Road, A149 Tower Road, B1355 Bellamys Lane, B1155 North Street/ Overy Road/ Mill Road/ B1155 Burnham Road/ B1155 Model Farm Road, A149 Main Road. B) A149 Main Road, /Mill Road, A149 Two Furlong Hill, B1105 Fakenham Road/Wells Road/ Barsham Road, A148 Fakenham Bypass, A148 Creake Road, B1355 Creake Road/The Common/Fakenham Road, Front Street / Burnham Road /Church Street /Burnham Road /Creake Road /Ulph Place /Bellaymys Lane, A149 Burnham Road /Tower Road /Wells Road (Burnham Norton, Holkham, Burnham Market, Burnham Overy, Burnham Thorpe).

 

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Roads A and B where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

 

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 23rd March 2025 without further notice.

 

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

 

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

 

 

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

 

 

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
